This hostel is clean, new, and is perfectly located out side the hustle and bustle of Otavalo. Belen and her family are the warmest and most helpful hostesses. Visiting Iluman and staying at Unay Muchiku was one of the best random decisions I ever made! If you have any plans to visit Quito, Otavalo or the surrounding areas, I highly recommend getting off the beaten path and checking this little town out. Nestled between two cloud-strewn volcanos, in idyllic cornfields under a deep blue sky, Iluman is quintessentially Andean. Belen is an amazing host who guided me through the local Otovaleno culture and gave me a peak at indigenous life.
